Clone Troopers Battle Pack 7655

We picked up this set at nearly the same time as the other star wars sets. I really like the clones, and blasters. Justin likes the red and yellow striped helmets. We've had a great time making battles with the droids.

Rebel Troop Speeder

Another cool Troop building set with a bunch of minifigs. We've used these guys a bunch already for our full scale Star Wars battles. Some of these guys survived the big droid battle that we did a video of.
The speeder itself is very cool, and the blasters for the minifigs are really nifty. I like that the helmets match the guys from the movie so well, but its a little disappointing that the visors don't come down over the face.
All in all another home-run as far as playability and minifigs with accessories. Very cool.

Star Wars Droid Battle Video!

Here it is! Our first attempt at a Lego video. We were looking around at different videos that people had done with their legos and we decided it was time to give it a try.
Justin really enjoyed a video we saw where the boy played out the battle with his hands, making the sound effects himself. So Justin wanted that to be a big part of our video. I also wanted to show him how the stop motion videos (no hands) worked so we gave that a try in the second half. I added in some of the pictures from the end of the battle at the end, music and credits and there you have it.
Hopefully this is just the beginning.

The Great Battle! Droids, 'troopers, and Rebels!

Justin had a great time combining all of his Star Wars sets and having a great big battle on the kitchen table. We even made a video of the big showdown. We'll post that soon.
He combined the Battle Droid Pack, with his Rebel Scout Speeder 7668, and the Imperial Dropship and of course the Jedi Defense packs 1 & 2. We really have a lot of SW legos now. The Jedi Defense packs, like the T-16 had been in the basement for a number of years, just waiting for Justin to be ready for them.
Good stuff.

Droids Battle Pack 7654

Cool Battle Droids and their transport. I think the other thing is called a Stap. I like the setup with the clear stand. This set was great because we immediately had a bunch of guys to have battles with. He really had fun putting this one together by himself. The only down point is the fact that the regular tan droids don't stand very well, especially with weapons pointed ahead.

T-16 Skyhopper 4477

Our second Star Wars Lego set. This T-16 Skyhopper had been kicking around my stash in the basement for at least 3-4 years. The Empirial Dropship was such a hit that I wanted him to have another ship to run his missions with.
Justin did all of the construction himself. Didn't take him very long at all.
I really like the fact that all the pieces were painted. I really like that cool red dragon logo. The pilot is a "one of a kind" minifig which is cool too.

Impirial Dropship 7667

Well. Justin got his first Star Wars Lego kit. He was very excited to tackle the construction of the Imperial Dropship. He had it done in no time, stickers and all. The Stormtrooper minifigs are just awesome. This is a great kit for the price range. Major play-ability. The only complaint could possibly be the flimsy design or connection on both the drop platform and the canopy. Otherwise this set was a huge success, and very very cool.

The Shadowtrooper or Pilot is just about the coolest minifig I think we've ever come across. This guy is awesome and kudos to Lego for making sure that he had a blaster for "deployment". Good stuff.
